The Miracle of PTFE

PTFE is a miracle product because it has so many valuable uses. Additionally, polytetrafluoroethylene or PTFE composite material is constant and chemically resistant. This makes it a great additive for making different components for sealing products like gaskets. Did you know that PTFE is food safe and is FDA approved? Polytetrafluoroethylene It’s used to make various pots and pan products for cooking. PTFE is generally food grade compliant, and it is stain resistant. Also, there are different types of PTFE composite material. Some of the types include virgin PTFE, glass-filled, bronzed, and stainless steel filled. Each type of PTFE composite material has different uses. For instance, bronze-filled PTFE has greater dimensional stability. Whereas glass-filled PTFE has on average, has 25% glass-filled fiber that increases its strength and lowers deformation when it’s under load.
